Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for an experienced Senior Motorcycle & Quad Mechanic to join a well-established and growing workshop team.
This is a hands-on role suited to a skilled technician with strong diagnostic ability and a passion for working on high-performance motorbikes and off-road vehicles.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of motorcycles and ATVs, working on leading brands such as Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, and Polaris.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and full engine rebuilds
- Work on engines, transmissions, suspension, and braking systems
- Repair and maintain fuel-injected systems and ECU diagnostics
- Prepare and maintain off-road vehicles (quads/ATVs)
- Carry out performance tuning and custom builds (where required)
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer and safety standards
- Maintain accurate service records and job reports
- Supervise and support junior mechanics and apprentices
About You:
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working on motorcycles and/or ATVs
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Experience with carbureted and fuel-injected engines
- Knowledge of electrical systems and modern diagnostic tools
- Relevant qualifications (IMI Level 3/4 or equivalent preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (motorcycle licence desirable)
Desirable Skills:
- Manufacturer training (Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki etc.)
- Experience in performance tuning and custom builds
- Welding or fabrication skills
- MOT Tester qualification (Class 1 & 2)
