Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behaviour and Learning Practitioner to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work directly with children and young people to promote positive behaviour, support learning, and foster an inclusive environment where every individual can thrive. This role is a temporary role starting in September for the full academic year. The role may also be offered as a temporary to permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement behaviour management plans that promote positive conduct and emotional well-being among children and young people
- Deliver engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs, including those with special education requirements
- Provide mentorship and support to children, encouraging their social, emotional, and academic growth
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create cohesive support strategies
- Monitor progress through observations, assessments, and regular documentation to inform ongoing interventions
- Support children in developing essential life skills such as communication, self-regulation, and resilience
- Lead small group sessions or one-on-one interventions focused on behavioural improvement and learning enhancement
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children or young people in educational or youth settings
- Strong background in teaching, youth work, or special education environments
- Excellent mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire positive change
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and inclusive educational practices
- Ability to develop creative strategies that cater to diverse learning styles and behavioural needs
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies
- A proactive attitude with a passion for supporting children’s development in a nurturing environment
