We're looking for a Youth Engagement Officer to join BASE Productions, our vibrant creative youth programme based at The Reed in Ladbroke Grove.
At BASE Productions, we work with young people aged 10-25, using film, digital media and the creative arts to inspire creativity, build confidence and develop practical, real-world skills. Together, we create exciting, high-quality projects that give young people a platform to express themselves and share their stories. As a Youth Engagement Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of creative projects and activities at Base@TheReed. Working closely with our Creative Producer and wider BASE team, you'll help bring projects to life, supporting every stage of the creative process from production through to post-production. You'll also have opportunities to engage directly with young people through workshops, youth club sessions and community outreach activities.
What you'll be doing

Share your creative interests, digital skills and passion for media with young people.

Support the planning and delivery of creative arts, digital media and youth work activities.

Help young people develop and produce creative content, including filming, editing and post-production projects.

Build positive, professional relationships with young people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where young people feel safe, valued and encouraged to take part.

Support young people to develop their creative, technical and digital skills, particularly in post-production and editing.

Assist with community outreach activities and help introduce new young people to the service.

Actively listen to young people's ideas and feedback, ensuring our programmes remain youth-led and relevant.

Recognise and respond appropriately to safeguarding and wellbeing concerns.
What You’ll need:
- At least one year’s experience working with young people.

Experience working with young people from varied backgrounds and needs.

Practical experience editing video content to a finished standard.

Experience in film or digital media and creative project delivery.

Good safeguarding knowledge and strong relationship-building skills.

Able to work collaboratively, use initiative and work flexibly.
This is a Bank position, offering flexible work of up to 14 hours per week.
