Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of a Children's Residential Home. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and well-being for children and young people in our care. This full-time role offers an opportunity to lead a committed team within a supportive environment, making a positive difference in young lives. The ideal applicant will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in care settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, or home care, and a passion for child welfare.
Duties
- Lead and manage the residential home to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
- Oversee the development and implementation of personalised care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Supervise and support staff members, fostering a positive team environment centred on professional growth and high standards of care.
- Ensure effective medication administration in accordance with prescribed protocols.
- Monitor daily operations including safeguarding procedures, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
- Maintain accurate records related to children’s progress, staff rotas, training schedules, and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with external agencies such as social services, health professionals, and educational providers to support children's holistic development.
- Promote a safe, nurturing environment that encourages children’s independence and well-being.
- Organise staff training programmes to ensure continuous professional development within the team.
- Lead on quality assurance processes including audits and inspections.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within care environments such as assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising experience in a care setting.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including Children Act regulations and Care Standards.
- Experience in developing and overseeing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to safeguarding children’s welfare.
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 or 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care or Alzheimer’s care is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism.
Pay: £450,000.00-£600,000.00 per year
