Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced waiter/waitress to join our vibrant Italian restaurant team. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve meals and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards.
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities and enhance guest experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of orders and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas.
- Handle guest queries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
- Follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist in setting up tables and preparing the dining area before service begins.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a hospitality or restaurant environment is essential.
- Proven ability in serving within a fast-paced setting, preferably within an Italian or similar cuisine restaurant.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour.
- Basic maths skills for handling bills, payments, and transactions accurately.
- Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in hospitality roles. Pay: £12.71-£14.50 per hour
