About Us
We are a growing e-commerce business based at Tiverton Business Park. We sell pre-owned and refurbished consumer electronics, accessories, selected new goods and our own branded product ranges through online marketplaces and our own websites.
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Stock & E-commerce Operations Manager to run our stock, warehouse and fulfilment operation, lead the small on-site team, and help us improve and grow.
About the Role
This is a practical, hands-on management role covering stock buying, goods-in, product preparation, stock control, marketplace listings, picking, packing, dispatch, returns, repairs and system accuracy.
Goods arrive on site, are checked in, prepared, labelled, located, listed, picked, packed and dispatched through our systems. The existing team already understands the day-to-day process, so we are looking for someone who can lead the operation, raise standards, reduce mistakes and help improve how everything runs.
This is not a large corporate warehouse role. It is a small but growing operation where the right person can take ownership, use their experience, and help build a stronger e-commerce and fulfilment function.
Key Responsibilities
The role will include:
- Managing the day-to-day stock, warehouse and e-commerce operation.
- Supervising and supporting a small on-site team.
- Buying and negotiating stock purchases within agreed pricing and margin rules.
- Supporting buyback activity where stock is purchased from the public.
- Checking incoming goods against purchase records and system information.
- Ensuring stock is booked in accurately and quickly.
- Overseeing product preparation, barcode labelling and stock locations.
- Preparing products for sale across online marketplaces and our own websites.
- Supporting marketplace listings and stock availability.
- Overseeing picking, packing and dispatch.
- Ensuring orders are sent accurately and on time.
- Managing returns and coordinating repair or testing requirements.
- Keeping stock records, warehouse locations and systems accurate.
- Reducing stock errors, delays, losses and discrepancies.
- Improving processes, routines and stock flow as the business grows.
- Supporting future growth across UK and international marketplace sales.
Experience Required
We are looking for someone with strong relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- E-commerce operations.
- Online marketplace selling, especially Amazon FBA, Amazon FBM, eBay or similar.
- Warehouse, stock control or fulfilment management.
- Picking, packing, dispatch and returns.
- Purchasing, stock buying or negotiating with suppliers.
- Recommerce, resale, refurbished goods or consumer electronics.
- Managing or supervising a small team.
You should be confident using computers, Excel and operational systems. Experience with Linnworks or a similar stock/order management system would be a strong advantage.
Skills and Attributes
The right candidate will be:
- Organised, accurate and reliable.
- Commercially aware, with good judgement around stock value, resale price and margin.
- Confident managing people, stock and process.
- Comfortable working in both warehouse and office areas.
- Able to use systems properly and keep records accurate.
- A good communicator with staff, suppliers, customers, couriers and repair partners.
- Practical, hands-on and willing to step in when needed.
- Positive, accountable and able to work without constant supervision.
- Able to use initiative and modern tools to solve problems and improve the operation.
Useful Experience
Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:
- Amazon Seller Central, FBA or FBM.
- eBay, Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
- Linnworks, Veeqo, Brightpearl or similar stock/order systems.
- Courier, Royal Mail or shipping platforms.
- Buyback, trade-in, recommerce or resale operations.
- Consumer electronics, watches, tablets, laptops or accessories.
- Own-brand or new consumer product ranges.
- UK or international marketplace selling.
- Forklift operation or forklift licence.
A forklift licence would be useful but is not essential. Training may be considered for the right person.
Benefits
- £32,000–£40,000 per year depending on experience.
- Monthly bonus scheme based on business performance.
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm.
- No regular weekend work required.
- On-site parking.
- Company pension.
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
- Training provided on internal systems and processes.
- Opportunity to take ownership of a growing stock and e-commerce operation.
