We are seeking a proactive and HR Advisor to join our team and play a key role in supporting our organisation’s people strategy. This is a dynamic and varied role, requiring a hands-on approach to deliver a wide range of generalist HR activities, including employee relations, colleague engagement, induction processes, HR reporting, organisational restructures, and policy development.
Key responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law and organisational policies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Colleague Engagement:
- Plan and implement engagement initiatives to enhance employee morale and satisfaction. Analyse engagement surveys and develop action plans to address feedback.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organisation.
Induction and Onboarding:
- Manage and continuously improve the induction programme to provide a welcoming and effective start for new hires.
- Partner with managers to ensure successful integration of new employees into teams.
HR Reporting
- Prepare and analyse HR metrics and reports to inform decision-making. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to turnover, absence, and engagement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve HR practices.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Experience working in a HR role / environment
- CIPD is advantageous but qualifications can be provided for the right person
- Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
