Pro Find Recruitment are delighted to be working with an established and highly regarded property business that is looking to appoint a Head of Auctions / Auction Specialist to develop and grow its auction offering across Buckinghamshire.
This is not a role where you’ll simply inherit an existing department and maintain the status quo.
The successful person will have the opportunity to take ownership of the auction proposition across the territory, develop new business, work with an established property network and play a key role in driving the continued growth of the business.
The Territory
The role will cover Buckinghamshire, with the territory stretching from Milton Keynes through to High Wycombe.
You’ll need to be comfortable working across the area, meeting clients, valuing properties, developing relationships and generating new auction instructions.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for developing the auction business across the territory, identifying opportunities within the existing estate agency network while also creating your own pipeline of new business.
You’ll be expected to:
- Generate new auction instructions and develop opportunities across Buckinghamshire.
- Identify properties that are well suited to an auction sale and provide professional advice to vendors.
- Build relationships with homeowners, investors, landlords and other property professionals.
- Work closely with estate agency teams to identify potential auction stock.
- Carry out valuations and provide informed advice on auction strategy.
- Manage the auction journey from initial instruction through to completion.
- Develop a strong personal network and pipeline of auction opportunities.
- Promote the auction service and actively win new business.
- Take ownership of the territory and contribute to the continued development of the auction proposition.
- Work collaboratively with the wider business while operating with a high degree of independence.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a self-motivated, commercially minded property professional who knows how to create opportunities rather than wait for them to arrive.
Ideally, you’ll already come from an auction background, or you’ll be an experienced estate agent who has had significant exposure to property auctions within your current or previous role.
You could be an experienced auction professional looking for greater autonomy, or an ambitious estate agent who has developed a strong understanding of auctions and is ready to make it a bigger part of their career.
You’ll need:
- Previous experience within residential estate agency and/or property auctions.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the auction process.
- Experience valuing property and dealing confidently with vendors.
- A proven ability to win instructions and develop new business.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
- The confidence to build relationships at all levels.
- The ability to manage your own diary, territory and pipeline.
- A genuine hunger to succeed and maximise your earning potential.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is driven.
Someone who will pick up the phone, get out into the market, build relationships and actively look for the next opportunity.
