Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Scaffolding Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of scaffolding structures on various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the construction industry while working in a dynamic and safety-conscious environment.
Duties
- Assist with the erection and dismantling of scaffolding structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Carry and position scaffolding components and materials around the site using appropriate manual handling techniques.
- Ensure all scaffolding is secure, stable, and compliant with health and safety standards throughout the duration of the project.
- Maintain a clean work environment by clearing debris and ensuring tools and materials are stored safely.
- Assist with site preparation tasks including moving materials, setting up safety barriers, and preparing work areas for construction activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience or familiarity with construction-related tasks such as carpentry, roofing, masonry, or plumbing is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in construction work.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to scaffolding work.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights when required.
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills within the construction industry.
