Operations Coordinator
Location: Bramley, Surrey
Salary: £30,000–£33,000
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible working.
Every day is different. That's exactly how we like it.
At LC Energy, no two days ever look the same.
One minute you'll be helping a customer who needs an urgent delivery. The next you'll be building delivery schedules, speaking with drivers, organising suppliers or working with our finance team to solve a billing query.
If you're someone who enjoys variety, likes solving problems and takes pride in making things run smoothly, this could be exactly the opportunity you've been looking for.
About us
LC Energy is one of the UK's leading biomass fuel suppliers, helping organisations across the country transition to more sustainable energy solutions.
We're proud to be a certified B Corp, which means we care just as much about how we do business as what we do. Our customers are loyal to us because we're responsive, knowledgeable and genuinely care about delivering an excellent service.
Our office is friendly, busy and collaborative. We work collaboratively, ideas are welcomed and no one hides behind emails when a conversation will solve a problem quicker.
The role
You'll become part of our operations team, helping coordinate fuel deliveries across the UK.
You'll work closely with customers, drivers, suppliers and colleagues to make sure deliveries happen safely, efficiently and on time.
This isn't simply an administration role. You'll be trusted to make decisions, solve problems and keep everything moving when priorities change throughout the day.
As you learn the business, you'll also become involved in pricing, reporting and improving how we work. There is a genuine opportunity to grow as both the team and the business continue to develop.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinating business and consumer fuel deliveries
- Building and managing daily delivery schedules
- Working closely with drivers and subcontractors
- Speaking with customers to resolve queries quickly
- Liaising with suppliers and transport partners
- Producing quotations and monitoring margins
- Processing sales and purchase orders
- Supporting reporting, stock management and operational administration
- Working closely with our finance team to resolve invoicing queries
- Looking for better ways of doing things and suggesting improvements
We're looking for someone who...
- enjoys talking to people and building relationships
- stays calm when plans change
- is naturally organised and enjoys juggling priorities
- is confident enough to ask questions and challenge when needed
- enjoys finding solutions rather than simply highlighting problems
- has good numerical skills and is comfortable working with figures
- enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
- is confident using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
You don't need experience within the biomass or energy industry.
We'll teach you that.
We're much more interested in finding someone who's curious, proactive and enjoys learning.
Because of our location, you'll need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
What you'll receive
- £30,000–£33,000 salary
- 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays
- Flexible working
- Private healthcare after successful probation
- 4% non-contributory pension
- One paid volunteering day each year
- A supportive, collaborative team
- Full training and genuine opportunities to develop your career
If you're looking for a role where you can make a real difference every day, we'd love to hear from you. LC Energy is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and are committed to building an inclusive workplace.
