Job Summary
Woodside Grange Care Home is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Gardener/handyperson with the main focus on gardening and grounds maintenance. You will take pride in keeping outdoor spaces safe, tidy and welcoming for residents, families and staff. As part of the role you will also be required to work 2-3 hours a week at the owners private home, carrying out gardening and small maintenance tasks. A full driving licence is essential for travelling between sites. During winter months or poor weather you will support indoor maintenance tasks wtih the care home.
KEY RESPONSIBILIES
Gardening and grounds maintenace at Woodside Grange Care Home
Lawn care, planting, pruning, weeding, hedge trimming, and seasonal garden upkeep
Off site gardening and maintenace at owners private home, 2-3 hours per week
Year round garden planning, bed preparation, plant care and pathway upkeep
Winter and bad weather duties, focusing on indoor maitenace when outdoor work is not possible
Small indoor tasks such as painting, basic repairs and general upkeep
Working independently while also supporting the maintenance team when needed
Reporting to the Home Mananger/ Maintenace Manager and completing tasks safely and efficently
Pay: £13.20-£13.45 per hour
