Elite Transport in Birstall, West Yorkshire (Just off Junction 27) are recruiting for a Class 1 Driver (Flats) to join our dynamic team. We are a general haulage company celebrating 27 years of transporting Machinery/ steel/ modulars for the building, engineering and construction sectors nationwide.
As a company we have upskilled drivers throughout the years, with some of our drivers developing from pick up drivers to Class 1/ Hiab drivers over the years. If you have a 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn please feel free to apply for this role even if you are a newly passed class 1 driver.
Candidate must be willing to do up to 4 nights out per week.
We are seeking a Class 1 HGV driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials nationwide.
- Monday - Friday (Occasional Weekend work)
- Tramping - up to 4 Nights out per week.
- Permanent Position
- Flat Trailers / Strapping - Securing loads
- Occasional Sheeting
This position requires:
- HGV 1/ Class 1/ C+E Licence
- CPC Qualification card
- Tachograph Card
- Experienced in Flat Bed general Haulage
Must Haves for this role:
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Have good geographic knowledge of UK roads
- Knowledge of Vehicle Safety checks and daily reporting.
Rates of pay for Class 1 Artic Driver.
- £14.00 P/H (Mon- Fri)
- £18.50(Saturday)
- £19.50 (Sunday)
- Rates are dependent on Experience and will be agreed at interview stages.
- £30 Night Out
- £30 additional Weekly Bonus Scheme. £1440 per annum.

- Own dedicated vehicle.
