Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented School Finance & HR Manager to lead the financial and human resources functions within our educational institution. This pivotal role combines strategic financial management with effective HR leadership to ensure the school operates smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive school environment while maintaining rigorous financial controls and HR practices that support staff and student success.
Duties
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, financial planning, and reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Manage financial accounting processes such as accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and expense reconciliation with accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement cost control measures to optimize resource allocation without compromising educational quality.
- Lead HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, staff development and employee relations
- Develop and maintain policies related to staff
- Provide strategic guidance on financial services to support school operations.
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance and HR teams.
Experience
- Proven experience in financial management within an educational or nonprofit setting is highly desirable.
- Strong background in financial accounting practices, including familiarity with budgeting software and financial reporting tools.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Knowledge of financial planning strategies tailored to educational institutions or similar organizations.
- Experience managing accounts payable processes and implementing cost control initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with employment laws, safer recruitment and HR best practices
