Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists and ensure patients receive high-quality care in a comfortable environment. This is a FULL TIME role and offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and looking to develop their skills within a professional healthcare setting. Must be able to work full time plus 2 Saturdays per month
Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised appropriately
- Provide patient care before, during, and after treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Offer clear communication and reassurance to patients, explaining procedures and post-treatment care instructions
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the dental surgery, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Support with administrative tasks such as updating patient information and managing stock levels of dental supplies
- Adhere to infection control protocols at all times, maintaining a sterile environment
- if trainee, to be on a recognised dental nursing course
- Have HepB and blood test results
- Must be enrolled on a recognised dental nurse course
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Basic IT literacy for maintaining electronic health records and scheduling appointments
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is desirable but training can be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when required
