Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Junior <PERSON> to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will support kitchen operations, assist in food preparation, and contribute to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
- Support food presentation and ensure dishes meet quality standards
- Help with kitchen organisation, including cleaning, sanitising, and maintaining hygiene standards
- Supervise junior staff and coordinate team activities during shifts
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies
- Manage stock levels, assist with inventory checks, and report shortages or issues
- Contribute to menu planning and development by providing input based on culinary knowledge
- Support the training of new team members and promote a positive team environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, kitchen work, or hospitality roles
- Demonstrable supervising or team management experience within a culinary setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant operations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards service excellence
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or similar environments is highly desirable
