Lokal, is a new Turkish restaurant opened in London, celebrating authentic Turkish cuisine and genuine hospitality. Inspired by traditional Turkish dining culture, we focus on sharing flavourful dishes, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
Lokal, is part of the same hospitality family as the well-established Faros restaurants in Oxford Circus and Holborn, along with Fred Bakery in the Oxford Circus and Holborn areas. With a strong reputation for quality food and service across our venues.
We are currently looking for a professional and welcoming Host / Hostess to become the face of the restaurant and the first point of contact for our guests.
The Role
As a Host, you will play an essential role in creating the first impression for our guests. You will manage reservations, greet guests warmly, and ensure a smooth flow of service by coordinating with the front-of-house team.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting guests warmly and creating a positive first impression
- Managing reservations and walk-ins efficiently
- Organising seating arrangements to optimise service flow
- Communicating clearly with waiting staff and management regarding table availability
- Managing busy service periods with professionalism and composure
- Answering guest enquiries in person or over the phone
- Maintaining a welcoming and organised entrance area
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years Host experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A confident, friendly, and professional manner
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm and composed during busy services
- Passion for hospitality and guest experience
