Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients and customers.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
- Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
- Verify delivery orders against items being transported, ensuring accuracy.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients upon completion of each delivery.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during deliveries.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage for reporting purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
- Experience operating flatbed vehicles or similar large transport equipment preferred.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Ability to navigate using GPS devices and traditional maps efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries within scheduled timeframes.
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Physically fit to load, unload, and handle goods as required.
