Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part time Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food preparation, with a keen interest in contributing to a vibrant bakery environment. This role involves assisting in the production of high-quality baked goods while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Working days will include a Wednesday 2pm- 7pm, Thursday 2pm- 7pm and Friday 2pm-7pm.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and baking of various types of bread.
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency in product quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bakery area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Support the head baker in daily operations, including inventory management and stock replenishment.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
- Assist with customer service when required, providing information about products and taking orders.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production or preparation is preferred.
- A background in baking is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is important.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential.
