Chef Required – British Pub & Indian Kitchen (Full-Time / Part-Time)
Location: Dog and Crook Country, Braishfield, Hampshire
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Chef to join our friendly team as soon as possible.
The Dog and Crook is a traditional country side pub, restaurant, and Bed and Breakfast. We serve a mixed menu of classic British pub favourites alongside authentic Indian cuisine, including our popular Curry Nights and traditional Sunday Roasts.
We are looking for someone who is confident in preparing British pub food. Experience with Indian cuisine is a bonus, but not essential, as we are happy to provide training and recipes to the right candidate. If you are an experienced British chef who is keen to learn Indian cooking, we would love to hear from you.

- Lasagne
- Ribs
- Steaks and other pub classics
- Curry Night menu (training provided if required)
- Daily specials and seasonal dishes
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food to a consistently high standard.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Follow food hygiene and HACCP procedures.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and well stocked.
- Assist with menu development and daily specials.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Support and train junior kitchen staff where required.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as a Chef or Senior Cook.
- Strong knowledge of British pub food is essential.
- Experience with Indian cuisine is desirable but not essential.
- Passion for producing high-quality food.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- A positive attitude and strong team spirit.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
