Job Summary
We are seeking Painters and Decorators and dedicated skilled and unskilled Labourers to join our team for upcoming projects in the South of England and surrounding areas. We currently have jobs running in the London area within Leisure Centres which we also need people on immediately, so any Decorators based in Winchester, Basingstoke, Guildford or the Woking area, please apply .
The role involves working on various construction and renovation projects, delivering high-quality painting and decorating services. The ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively within a team.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as required
- Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes with precision and attention to detail
- Operate tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with general labouring tasks on-site, including moving materials and setting up work areas
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Experience
- Candidates must drive, have their own vehicle and be willing to travel
- Be reliable
- Previous experience in Painting and Decorating in commercial and domestic settings is essential; unless applying for the Labouring position in which case skilled and unskilled Labourers are welcome to apply. We are especially interested in anyone with plumbing skills for possible kitchen and bathroom renovations.
- A strong knowledge of painting techniques and materials
- Their own brushes/rollers, decorating tools and PPE when required
- Good communication skills in English are essential for effective teamwork and client interactions
- Ability to interpret instructions clearly and work independently or as part of a team
