Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Clear tables efficiently and assist with setting up the dining area for subsequent guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service stations and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Process payments accurately using the POS system, handling cash or card transactions securely.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management to handle busy service periods efficiently.
- Ability to deliver outstanding guest services with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Basic maths skills for bill calculations and cash handling.
- Upselling skills to promote menu items and maximise sales opportunities.
