With schools returning shortly, we're now registering enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants for a range of exciting opportunities across Stockport and Tameside.
Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience, or someone with a passion for supporting children in their education, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons
- Working with individual pupils or small groups to support learning
- Providing additional support to children who may require extra help
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and educational development
- Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources
- Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining classroom routines
- Supporting pupils during break and lunchtime where required
- Working collaboratively with teachers and other school staff
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, caring and positive approach
- The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Confidence supporting children individually and in small groups
- A proactive and flexible attitude
- A willingness to work across different schools and year groups
