About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and customer-focused Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at our busy restaurant with rooms. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent customer service skills, strong organisational abilities, and the confidence to lead by example.
As Restaurant Supervisor, you will be a key member of the front-of-house team, acting as the first point of contact for both restaurant and hotel guests. You will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant while assisting with hotel reception duties, including guest check-ins and check-outs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising daily restaurant service and ensuring high standards are maintained at all times.
- Welcoming and assisting restaurant and hotel guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately.
- Acting as the first point of contact for guest enquiries, requests, and complaints.
- Supporting and motivating front-of-house team members during service.
- Ensuring excellent customer service and guest satisfaction throughout the guest journey.
- Taking reservations and managing restaurant bookings.
- Assisting with room reservations and guest communications.
- Handling payments and cash reconciliation procedures.
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the restaurant and reception areas.
- Working closely with kitchen, housekeeping, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Assisting with staff training and maintaining service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant supervision, hotel reception, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
- Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Experience with hotel booking systems is advantageous but not essential.
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
