ELECTRICIAN
Location: Norwich, with travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: September 2026 – March 2027 approximately
Pay: Up to to £43,952 per annum (DOE and Qualifications)
About the Role
Paragon Resource Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a leading housing and property maintenance organisation for an experienced Electrician to join their Maintenance Team.
The successful candidate will support both planned and reactive electrical works, working across residential properties throughout Norwich, Norfolk and North Suffolk.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrician with property maintenance experience to join an established team and contribute to the safe, efficient and high-quality maintenance of residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned electrical works within residential properties.
- Complete bathroom aids and adaptations and kitchen wiring alterations.
- Support responsive electrical repairs as required.
- Carry out electrical works across responsive repairs, EICRs and void properties.
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and within required timescales.
- Work in line with relevant performance standards and requirements.
- Identify and report any issues requiring further attention.
- Communicate professionally with tenants and residents.
- Respond appropriately to tenant enquiries and provide information to the relevant manager.
- Work collaboratively with the wider electrical and maintenance teams.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, customer service and health and safety.
About You
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician with a background in property maintenance or residential electrical work.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- City & Guilds 5357 / NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 and Part 2 or equivalent.
- AM2 – desirable, depending on when the NVQ was completed.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – City & Guilds 2382 or equivalent.
- Inspection & Testing – City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent.
- Previous experience working within property maintenance.
- Good IT skills.
- A full driving licence, as travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk is required.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a wider maintenance team.
- A professional, reliable and safety-focused approach to work.
Additional Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a basic DBS check.
Due to the travel requirements of the position, candidates should live within approximately a 45-minute commute of the Norwich base.
