PSV Master Technician Responsibilities
Carry out advanced diagnostics, fault finding, and repairs on PSV vehicles
Specialise in complex electrical systems, including CAN bus diagnostics
Perform mechanical repairs, servicing, and maintenance to a high standard
Support and mentor junior technicians within the workshop
Ensure all work is completed efficiently and in line with safety regulations
Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to resolve issues quickly
Assist in maintaining workshop standards, cleanliness, and organisation
Work collaboratively with the wider team to minimise vehicle downtime
PSV Master Technician Requirements
Proven experience as a PSV Master Technician or Senior PSV Technician
Excellent electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills (essential)
Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy vehicles or buses/coaches
Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Full UK driving licence (PCV licence desirable but not essential)
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
