Don Valley is currently looking for a new member of staff, primarily to work as a lorry driver delivering our goods throughout the north and north east of Scotland with our own vehicles. This candidate should also be willing to carry out other activies/tasks on the farm.
The successful candidate must have a valid Class 1 or 2 HGV Licence, as well as valid CPC qualifications. As you will be loading/unloading products such as turf, there will be an element of manual handling involved, although the majority of our goods are offloaded with a moffet mounty, so forklift experience is also essential but the moffat mounty training can be provided. Good knowledge of the local area for deliveries would be advantageous.
Additional useful skills would be beneficial but not essential include:
Tractor experience
Mechanical Experience
Standard hours are 45 per week throughout British Summer Time and 40 hours per week in British Winter time, however overtime would be required during busy times.
References will be required. Interviews and start date will take place as soon as possible.
Hourly rate will be negotiable depending upon experience.
