Stagewise Ltd is looking for a hands-on Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team, working on specialist stage and auditorium equipment in theatres, studios, and live entertainment venues across the UK. Location: Site-Based / Mobile Role across the UK
Contract: Full-Time, Salaried
Salary: Dependent on experience

The Role
You will work with mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, control, lifting, and auditorium systems in unique live venue environments. The role is varied, technical, and genuinely hands-on — ideal for someone who wants more than routine workshop work or office-based admin.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, maintain, repair, inspect, test, and commission specialist stage engineering equipment
· Fault-find and solve practical problems across mechanical, electrical, control, lifting, and electro-mechanical systems
· Work safely at height in theatres, studios, and live entertainment venues
· Support varied site projects, from maintenance visits to upgrades and commissioning works
· Provide clear technical feedback after site visits
Essential Requirements
· Strong practical electro-mechanical engineering skills
· Must hold BS 7671:2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations, 18th Edition
· Experience with mechanical/electrical systems, motors, control equipment, lifting equipment, or similar installations
· Confident fault-finding, repairing, adjusting, and commissioning technical equipment
· Willingness to travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays
· Comfortable working at height, subject to training and safe systems of work
· Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
· Theatre, live events, broadcast, industrial maintenance, mechanical handling, lifting equipment, automation, or control systems experience
· Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, BS 7905, BS 7906, ABTT guidance, or theatre engineering good practice
· IPAF, PASMA, first aid, manual handling, or working-at-height training

Pay: £25,822.43-£50,000.00 per year
