Our Dorchester Nissan dealership is currently recruiting for an experienced new and used car Sales Executive.
The successful candidate for our Sales Executive position will have previous experience in the motor trade, proven customer service skills and show the ability to work to deadlines and targets. You will be welcomed into a friendly and successful team and have the opportunity to work with our new exciting range of cars.
About Us
The Horizon Magna Group is a privately owned motor retail business established in Poole in 1971. We proudly represent Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Changan and Mitsubishi across 12 dealerships located in Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset, and Wiltshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- To introduce and follow-up suitable sales prospects in a quantity per week/month as agreed with the Sales Manager
- To ensure pre-delivery inspections and any sanctioned repairs/servicing are carried out prior to delivery to customer
- To report weekly/monthly on agreed performance ratios, comparing actual with targeted performance and review daily activities, promotions, sales, targets and other activities with the Sales Manager
- Provide outstanding service to customers at all stages of the transaction (e.g. advice or efficiency) and to promote customer retention and repeat vehicle purchase
Candidate Requirement:
- Experience in a customer facing, sales-based environment
- Highly presentable, ambitious and target driven, you will have a strong passion for car sales in order to meet and exceed agreed targets for the sale of vehicles and related products
- Computer skills are essential
- Ability to use own initiative and multi-task
- Possess exceptional organisational skills
- Team player
- Personable approach, with a polite and courteous manner
- Full UK driving licence – You will be subject to licence checks
Salary and Benefits
- An £18,000 basic salary per annum, plus uncapped commission with on-target earnings of £50,000 per annum. Pay is reviewed and processed monthly. Where total earnings (basic plus commission) fall below the National Minimum Wage (NMW) threshold, adjustments will be made to ensure full compliance with legislation

Other information:
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 08:30 – 18:00 with an hours’ unpaid break
Saturday - 08:30 – 17:00 with an hours’ unpaid break
You will be working a 5-day week with a day off in the week
