Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a 18t HGV2 Driver for Pallet Collections. As a key member of our logistics team, your primary responsibility will be to collect loaded truck from our base in NN4, and collect goods from customers across the region.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a 18T CURTAINSIDE to client sites
- Secure loads after each collection.
- Utilize the mobile application to navigate to the designated client sites and deliver daily orders efficiently.
- Adhere to all relevant road safety regulations and maintain a high standard of driving behavior at all times.
- Complete paperwork and maintain accurate records, ensuring all necessary documentation is properly completed.
- Communicate effectively with clients and provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience throughout the collection process.
- Maintain cleanliness and perform routine checks of the assigned vehicle, reporting any issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Manage your daily schedule effectively to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize routes and improve overall efficiency.
- Display a proactive attitude, going the extra mile to ensure a smooth collection process and excellent service for our clients.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid UK driving license with category C or higher with no more than 6 points on your licence, allowing you to operate a 18t HGV2.
- Demonstrated experience or competency in securing pallets.
- Proficiency in using mobile applications for navigation and order management.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to prioritize collections and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Physical fitness to handle manual loading and unloading of empty pallets.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Punctuality and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
