Job Overview

Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 trucks, including flatbed and other commercial vehicles, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance before each journey
- Load and secure cargo on flatbeds or other truck types, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety measures
- Deliver goods to designated locations promptly, providing excellent customer service during each interaction
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered on the road
- Follow all driving regulations and company procedures to promote safe driving practices at all times
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver, preferably with flatbed handling experience
- Knowledge of transportation laws, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo and securing loads on flatbeds
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and adapt to changing schedules as needed
- Basic understanding of route planning and navigation tools

Pay: £12.72-£15.00 per hour
