We are currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join our highly regarded Costs Team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced legal environment.
As a Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our experienced Costs Drafters and Negotiators, helping to ensure the smooth progression of costs matters and providing essential administrative support across the team.
The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a varied workload. You will be responsible for preparing legal documentation, liaising with external providers to obtain invoices, maintaining records of outstanding bills and compiling document bundles for both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the Costs Drafters and Negotiators, including managing shared inboxes and maintaining accurate records.

Liaise with external providers to obtain invoices and supporting documentation, ensuring matters progress efficiently.

Prepare document bundles for legal proceedings, external suppliers and internal stakeholders, including the Finance team.
About You
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage a varied workload effectively. You'll have strong communication skills, a professional telephone manner and confidence when dealing with a range of stakeholders. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential, along with a willingness to learn, follow processes and develop within a legal environment. A proactive attitude and strong team-working skills will help you succeed in this role.
