Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager/Duty Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality establishments, The Bank Bar & Restaurant and Cobbles Bar & Nightclub. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing bar services, supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bar staff, including serving customers, preparing beverages, and maintaining service standards
- Oversee drink preparation and ensure service meet quality and safety standards
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and beverages
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards across the premises
- Lead team management efforts by training new staff, scheduling shifts, and motivating team members to deliver exceptional service
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations at all times
- Assist in organising special events or promotions to boost sales and customer engagement
Skills
- Proven experience in bar or hospitality management, with a strong background in drinks preparation and supervision
- Supervising experience within a busy hospitality setting, demonstrating effective team management skills
- Extensive knowledge of safety standards and drinks production processes
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Experience in kitchen operations, hotel service environments, or barista roles is highly desirable
- Exceptional communication skills coupled with a professional demeanour
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly whilst maintaining attention to detail
