Who we are
We are a beautiful countryside pub and 7 bedroom guesthouse, 5 minutes drive from the city of Bath.
We are a relatively new business, with 1 year under our belt.
We are moving closer every day towards creating something really special here.
We love and care about making as much as we can from scratch, having already established our sourdough, eclectic ice cream flavours, pizza dough, condiments and more. This is just the beginning and we're so excited to see who will fit right into our ambitious ethos.

Who you are
You must confidently and calmly be able to run a service. We expect positive forward momentum and encouragement within the team.
We have a culture here of not hiring 'big egos'. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working in an positive environment, without big egos/combative attitudes. We are all about the food instead. We also have a culture of health within the kitchen staff. Our chefs are more likely to be seen going for a jog after their shift, rather than a drink!
You mustn't be shy of working hard. As we are a small kitchen team, not a brigade, we share all the responsibilities of each section, which includes supporting the FOH team where possible. Understand that together we are stronger - this is how we will win.
Understand that we are a pub and that requires a very specific temperament and aptitude. Just as there are classes of restaurant, there are also classes of pub. The Wheelies is the highest standard of pub. We have a "made from scratch" mantra that will gradually develop over time.
Understand the importance of consistency and structure within a developing business.
Very organised - maintain structure within the organisation. Lead by example. You must have a respect for structure and systems, with a knowledge of EHO expectations and focus on sustainable high operational standards.

3.5 day working week. 3 long days, one half day.
