Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Roofing Surveyor to join our team and lead comprehensive roof assessments across various construction projects. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of roofing structures, including flat roofs, pitched roofs, and specialized roofing systems using detailed schematics and technical drawings.
- Assess existing roof conditions, identify damage or deterioration, and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to assist in minor repairs or modifications on-site.
- Document findings accurately through detailed reports, photographs, and sketches to support repair planning and project documentation.
- Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate repair activities and ensure safety standards are maintained.
- Assist in fabricating custom components or repairs using welding and fabrication skills as needed.
- Lift heavy materials safely during inspections or repair work, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction environments with a strong focus on roofing systems.
- Proficiency with schematics, technical drawings, and blueprint reading related to roofing projects.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of roofing materials, installation methods, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining awareness of safety procedures.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, masonry, carpentry, and general construction principles is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills for reporting findings clearly and working effectively with diverse teams.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
