As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Despatch Manager to lead our warehouse and despatch operation, ensuring our products reach customers safely, accurately and on time.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Despatch Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operation of the Despatch department, ensuring products are picked, loaded and dispatched safely, efficiently and accurately.
Working closely with Production, Planning, Transport and other departments, you'll ensure customer orders leave site on time while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality and health & safety.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, motivating and developing the Despatch and Warehouse teams.
- Creating a positive culture where colleagues feel supported, engaged and accountable.
- Ensuring customer orders are dispatched accurately, on time and in full.
- Driving operational performance, productivity and service levels.
- Monitoring KPIs, analysing performance and implementing continuous improvements.
- Managing stock accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Quality, GMP and Health & Safety standards.
- Working collaboratively with internal departments and external customers to deliver excellent service.
- Managing labour planning, training and performance.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the department.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a confident and inspiring leader who enjoys leading from the front and getting the best out of their team.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager, Despatch Manager or similar leadership role.
- Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or another fast-paced operational environment, ideally working with short shelf-life products.
- A proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (such as SAP, AS400, Defacto, SI, Imperica or Red Prairie).
- Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Experience monitoring KPIs and driving operational improvements.
- Good knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control and customer service.
- A sound understanding of Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
Desirable:
- MHE licences (PPT, Reach, Counterbalance or Bendi/Flexi).
- Food Safety or Hygiene qualification.
- Health & Safety qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent).
