We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join our growing logistics team in Deeside. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a major manufacturing operation while developing your career within a fast-growing business.
About the Role
As a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver, you will play a key role in supporting warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and finished products throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift trucks and other material-handling equipment.
- Unload, move, store and load raw materials, finished paper products and packaging materials.
- Manage inbound and outbound vehicle loading and unloading activities.
- Support warehouse operations while maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Ensure materials are moved efficiently to support production and customer delivery schedules.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality at all times.
- Contribute to warehouse and logistics KPI performance through efficient working practices.
- Report faults, damage and safety concerns promptly to support a positive safety culture.
- Complete all required records, documentation and reports accurately.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities, including 5S and ISO standards.
What We're Looking For - Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience operating forklift trucks within a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of safe loading, unloading, stacking and transportation procedures.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Desirable
- Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Continuous improvement awareness and understanding of operational efficiency principles.
