Lakeside Caravan Park is a peaceful and well-established holiday destination in Bridgwater, Somerset. With 72 rental caravans set in beautifully maintained surroundings, we pride ourselves on providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on, reliable, and experienced Maintenance Operative to oversee the upkeep and functionality of our park’s facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining both the grounds and the individual caravans, ensuring all issues are dealt with efficiently to maintain high standards across the park.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance and repair tasks across the park, including within caravans and communal areas
- Respond promptly to guest-reported issues
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and general handyman duties
- Maintain the overall cleanliness, safety, and presentation of the park grounds
- Schedule and oversee any external contractors when necessary
- Ensure health and safety compliance across the site
- Maintain maintenance logs and order necessary supplies
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance or facilities role
- Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with plumbing and electrical systems (relevant certifications are a plus)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Good organizational and time management skills
- A friendly and approachable manner, especially when dealing with guests
- A full UK driving licence is desirable
Hours & Pay:
- Full-time position – 40 hours per week
- Competitive pay based on experience
