Step into a role at The Drovers Arms, a landmark pub with roots stretching back to the 15th century. Originally a haven for drovers journeying from Anglesey to London, our pub is now a vibrant family restaurant led by Sion and Sam Roberts, who revitalised this historic spot in 2020. We’re looking for a 2nd chef who’s passionate about food, teamwork, and creating memorable experiences in a setting where tradition and innovation come together.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the kitchen team in preparing high-quality dishes
- Ensure every meal meets our standards for taste, presentation, and consistency
- Uphold strict food safety and hygiene practices at all times
- Organise and maintain a clean, efficient kitchen environment
- Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering growth and teamwork
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver seamless service
- Contribute ideas for menu development and kitchen improvements
Requirements
- Experience in a busy kitchen or restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A genuine passion for hospitality and the culinary arts
- Ability to stay organised and perform well under pressure
- Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to changing needs
