Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our busy culinary environment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and performance.
- Assist in menu planning and develop new recipes in collaboration with the culinary team.
- Monitor staff performance, conduct appraisals, and promote a positive working environment.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve any issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or hospitality environment.
- Strong background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Extensive kitchen experience including culinary skills and restaurant familiarity.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards serving customers and team members alike.
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
