Warehouseman Role

Abbey View Produce Ltd is looking for a hardworking and reliable Warehouseman to join our busy fresh produce team.
This is a genuinely hands-on role. You’ll be on the packhouse floor, working as part of the operation to ensure fresh produce arrives, is stored correctly, and reaches our customers on time.
What You'll Be Doing
- Unloading incoming trailers and getting stock into the packhouse efficiently.
- Moving and rotating pallets using FIFO so the oldest suitable stock is used first.
- Using our Goods In and Goods Out systems to keep stock accurate and fully traceable.
- Making sure every pallet has the correct pallet ID securely fixed to the bottom left-hand corner.
- Preparing and building pallets ready for customer deliveries.
- Tapping up pallets and getting them to the correct height for safe and compliant loading.
- Checking QC Pass labels and box-end labels before products leave site.
- Loading outgoing pallets onto trailer
- Working from the daily collection plan to make sure the right products go to the right depot.
- Working as part of a team to keep the packhouse moving and trailers leaving on time.
- Reporting any issues or discrepancies quickly so they can be dealt with.

- Able to work at pace without cutting corners.
- A good team player who is also happy getting on with tasks independently.
- Comfortable following procedures and using basic computer systems.
- Experienced in a packhouse, fresh produce or similar environment; desirable, but not essential.
- Forklift experience/licence - advantageous.
Hours
4 days on / 4 days off – rotational shift pattern
6:55 am – 7:00 pm
Due to the nature of the operation, overtime may occasionally be required, including staying beyond normal hours to complete trailer loading.
Attendance bonus of £2.00 per hour ( bonus scheme)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
