Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Part Time Barista/ Front of house staff to join our vibrant team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and ensure a positive first impression
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages efficiently
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area
- Help with all areas of the cafe including washing up during busy periods
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales
- Flexibility if and when the cafe gets busy, being able to stay later then your scheduled time
- Process payments accurately using the POS system
- Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role, barista, hospitality, or restaurant service is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills are advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and billing processes
- Experience in guest services and upselling techniques is a plus
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different roles within the team
