Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Driver to join our team.
We can offer the following working pattern, please note these roles are tramping and will involve nights out which will be paid in addition to the salary range:
Mon - Friday every other Sat OR Sun
OR
Tues - Sat
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring that all deliveries meet our high standards of service and compliance.
Duties
- Operate safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies and legal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with planners regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure that cargo is properly secured and protected during transit to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving on public roads.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client concerns professionally.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £51,000.00-£54,000.00 per year
