We are seeking a dedicated Chef to work with our Back of House Team Members. This role is essential in working with our existing team to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to meal preparation and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality in every dish.
We serve traditional pub classics, Roast dinners, Burgers and dishes with our own independent twist. We also serve a great selection of boards and small dishes and side plates.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
- Follow food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Support the cooking team by preparing ingredients, cooking, and plating dishes as required.
- Keep the kitchen area organised and tidy, including washing up and cleaning equipment after use.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
- Support with food ordering and sourcing local produce
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is essential, as are working with a team around you.
- Working alone and with a small team is essential experience.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices is advantageous.
- A background in culinary arts or meal preparation will be considered a plus.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- Food Safety, Allergens, Health and Safety and Fire after certificates preferred, training is available and provided if needed.

Pay: From £14.00-£18.00 per hour

We are at the height our summer season and are looking for someone to work up to 40 hours per week now, with a reduction back to 30-40 post September 2026.
We are happy to offer a temporary contract
