Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team.
We are a very well known garage and have 2 garages situated on both sides of hull with the hope to expand further.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using up to date Diagnostic equipment
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out repairs efficiently and safely
- Carry out equipment repair and maintenance tasks to ensure workshop tools and machinery are in optimal condition
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client concerns
- Undertake heavy lifting of vehicle parts or components safely during repair processes
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used in accordance with company procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role with strong mechanical knowledge
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools and other workshop machinery
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and work documentation
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive engineering or mechanics are desirable but not essential
