We’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Barista/Front of House team member to join our busy all-day café. We are open to full-time or part-time for individuals with strong hospitality experience and a genuine passion for coffee, food, and customer service.
At OATIS, we’re more than a coffee shop our café has a full-service kitchen, serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch alongside specialty coffee. We’re looking for someone who can work confidently across all aspects of front-of-house service: from making exceptional coffee to delivering meals, engaging with customers, and keeping the space running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies
- Support food service by taking orders, running food from the kitchen, and ensuring tables are served efficiently and accurately
- Engage with customers in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organised café space, including the coffee bar, service areas, and dining space
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination during busy service periods
- Handle transactions accurately and maintain till procedures
- Uphold all food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with restocking, cleaning, and general operational duties as part of the daily café routine
- Manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks during peak hours
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a restaurant, café, or full-service hospitality environment
- Barista skills and confidence using espresso machines preferred
- Strong understanding of food service, table management, and customer experience
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards
