Part-time | Friday/Saturday evenings & Sunday lunch | Chelmsford, Essex
Pay - Up to £16 per hour including TRONC
Looking for your first role in hospitality?
We’re an award-winning Two AA Rosette restaurant looking for confident, friendly and reliable people to join our Front of House team at weekends.
You don’t need previous restaurant experience. What matters more to us is personality, confidence and attitude.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys talking to people and feels comfortable meeting new people
- Is friendly, confident and polite
- Is bright, quick to learn and able to use their initiative
- Takes pride in their appearance and being well presented
- Is reliable and understands the importance of turning up when the team is relying on them
- Wants to learn and become genuinely good at looking after guests
- Enjoys being part of a busy, professional team
Previous experience working with customers or the public would be useful, but it’s not essential. We can teach you how to work in a restaurant; we’re much more interested in finding the right personality.
Hours
We’re currently recruiting for weekend positions covering:
Friday evening
Saturday evening
Sunday lunch
We’re looking for two new team members, so the exact combination of shifts can be discussed.
This could be particularly well suited to someone in sixth form or college looking for a regular weekend job alongside their studies.
What you’ll learn
This isn’t just about carrying plates. You’ll learn how to welcome and look after guests, work confidently within a professional restaurant team, communicate effectively and take responsibility during busy services.
For someone starting their working life, it’s a great opportunity to develop confidence, people skills and genuine hospitality experience.

Applying
Tell us a little bit about yourself, what you’re currently doing and why you think you’d enjoy working with people in a restaurant.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited in to meet us and complete a paid trial shift, so you can see what working with us is like and we can see how naturally you take to the role.
What is TRONC?
TRONC is your share of the service charge left by our guests. It is paid to our team in addition to your basic hourly wage.
