Beeston Hall is seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 EYFS Practitioner to join our supportive and dynamic Early Years team. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and experienced individual, qualified to at least Level 3, to work closely with our Nursery Manager and Pre-Prep staff. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning, helping to ensure every child is nurtured, challenged and able to reach their full potential. The role is based within the EYFS setting.
Responsible to: Head of EYFS
Hours of Work: Working hours are 08:00–16:30, with occasional hours until 17:30 to support wraparound care, offering an excellent work-life balance and opportunities for additional hours and flexibility to increase working time depending on the number of children in attendance.
Contract Type: Permanent, 50 weeks of the year with 4 weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of creative and stimulating EYFS activities.
- Provide a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress in line with the EYFS framework.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to support individual learning needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and social development.
- Build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will fit the following profile
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Professional experience working in an EYFS setting.
- Minimum Level 3 qualification.
- Commitment to the personal and educational development of pupils and to an ethos of respect and kindness.
- High levels of communication skills in English, both written and spoken, to enable effective communication with pupils, colleagues and parents.
- Calm and empathetic, especially under pressure.
- Self-motivation and high levels of organisational and self-management skills.
- Commitment to personal professional development, and therefore a willingness to develop one's own skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively within a team.
- Proven ability to develop effective professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
- Maintains and respects confidentiality.
