Thomas Tool Hire is looking for a Mobile Tool Hire Fitter to join our team, based at our Deeside depot.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving the delivery, collection, servicing and repair of our tool and equipment hire fleet at customer sites and at the depot.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering and collecting tools and equipment from customer sites
- Inspecting, servicing and maintaining hire equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Preparing equipment for hire and ensuring it is safe and ready for customers
- Carrying out basic maintenance and repairs on site where required
- Completing relevant paperwork and equipment checks
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
- Keeping the company vehicle, tools and equipment clean and well maintained
- Working safely and following company procedures at all times
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Mechanically minded with good practical skills
- Experienced in plant, tool hire, construction equipment or a similar industry
- Confident working independently and visiting customer sites
- Good at diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
- Reliable, organised and able to manage their own workload
- Customer-focused with good communication skills
- Flexible and willing to get stuck in when needed
- Full UK driving licence
Previous experience working with small plant, power tools, generators, compressors or similar hire equipment would be an advantage.
