Operational Lead – Legal & Compliance Operations

We're partnering with an innovative and highly respected organisation looking to appoint an Operational Lead to support the ongoing evolution of its Legal & Compliance function. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a major transformation programme, helping to shape how a critical business function operates, collaborates and delivers value.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll play a key role in driving strategic initiatives, improving operational effectiveness, and embedding new ways of working across a complex and fast-paced environment.
The Opportunity
This is far more than a traditional operations role. You'll act as a trusted deputy to the Head of Legal & Compliance Operations, helping to deliver large-scale change programmes, improve governance and processes, and ensure strategic priorities are translated into practical, measurable outcomes.
You'll work with stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Finance, HR, IT, Sales and external partners, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys influencing, collaborating and delivering meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of strategic and operational priorities across the Legal & Compliance function.
- Drive and coordinate transformation and change initiatives from planning through to implementation.
- Develop project plans, manage risks, dependencies and milestones, and ensure successful delivery.
- Improve operational processes, governance frameworks and ways of working.
- Support the rollout of new systems, tools and operating models.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
- Develop reporting, performance metrics and management information to support decision-making.
- Ensure robust governance, controls and delivery disciplines are embedded across projects.
About You
You'll be a highly organised and proactive professional with experience delivering operational improvement, transformation or business change initiatives.
You'll also bring:
- Experience within operations, transformation, programme delivery or business change.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leaders.
- The ability to translate strategic objectives into clear and actionable plans.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously.
- A collaborative, pragmatic and solution-focused approach.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within Legal, Compliance, Risk or another regulated environment.
- Exposure to operating model transformation or process redesign.
- Experience supporting large-scale business transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of legal technology, compliance systems or CLM platforms.
