Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, managing budgets, and ensuring cost control throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. Your expertise will help drive project success by providing precise financial insights, supporting procurement processes, and maintaining strong cost management practices. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analysing drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
- Managing project costs from inception to completion.
- Conduct regular cost control reviews, updating estimates as project scope evolves or changes occur
- Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate prices, and secure competitive bids
- Assist in tendering processes by preparing bid documents and evaluating contractor proposals
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects, including variations, claims, and change orders.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within the domestic industry
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
- Excellent skills in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- A relevant qualification such as a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field is preferred

Pay: £33,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
